7.      Social Media and Shariff

To share our posts, we use the social media buttons called shariff developed by heise and c't. The usual social media buttons transfer the user data to Facebook & Co. Every page request provides the social networks exact information about the surfing behavior (user tracking). You do not have to be logged in to be a member of the network. In contrast, the Shariff button does not establish direct contact between the social network and visitors until actively clicking on the share button. Your data will only be shared with providers such as Facebook and Twitter if you actively click on the respective button and confirm your intention in a separate window. Thus, we prevent the unwanted exchange of data with social platforms and make sure that you only share wanted articles with your permission. A further description of Shariff and its functions can also be found next to each share button on our site. Click on the white box marked with "i". Then you will be linked to an official manufacturer's article.
